This Friday, March 10, 2017, the Brooksville PIT will team up with iHorror.com and ParanormalInvestigating.com CEO Anthony Pernicka to broadcast a live stream investigation of the famed May-Stringer House in Brooksville, FL.
One of the oldest homes in the area, the May-Stringer house was built in 1855 by John May. Sadly, May died from tuberculosis only three years after he and his wife, Marena, and their two children, Matilda and Annie, moved into the home. Marena stayed in the home after her husband died and eventually married Frank Saxon. Sadly Marena died giving birth to their daughter, Jessie Mae Saxon, and the child died three years later.
Saxon remarried a few years later and decided to sell the home. Dr. Sheldon Stringer eventually purchased the home and expanded it to 14 rooms, including an area for his medical practice. The home stayed within the Stringer family for multiple generations before finally coming under the ownership of the Hernando County Historical Museum Association in 1981.
Rumors of the property being haunted have been around for decades and numerous paranormal investigative groups have spent hundreds of hours delving into the mysteries inside the museum’s walls. Each room is themed (military, doctor’s office, etc.) and filled with antiques and it is entirely possible that some of these entities are connected to the memorabilia collected for display. To date, it is believed that 13 separate entities haunt the historic location including that of Jessie Mae Saxon, the three year old daughter of Frank and Marena. Visitors have reported hearing a soft cry like that of a child seeking affection.
This is not the first time that iHorror has hosted a live stream paranormal investigation. In fact, on May 14, 2016, the website was the very first to host a live investigation using the Facebook live stream option. The site’s owner, Anthony Pernicka, is passionate in his dedication to the paranormal which led to the development of our own website here at Paranormal Investigating.
The Brooksville Paranormal Investigation Team was founded in 2013. Their meticulous paranormal investigations have been chronicled on their website through pictures, audio, and video, including evidence gathered previously at the May-Stringer House.
The live stream format allows the viewer to become a member of the investigative team, and iHorror and Brooksville PIT are excited to share this opportunity with their fans!
